Two New Presidents’ Forum Groups Begin Meeting This Week
The Presidents’ Forum, a program for upper management professionals started by the Blair County Chamber in 2002, will add two new Forum Groups this week. A Group of eight participants will be orientated on Wednesday and another on Thursday. Andrea Wooten, a Young Presidents Organization (YPO) facilitator from Virginia, will conduct both orientations. The Chamber currently operates eight Forum Groups. For further information on the Presidents’ Forum, contact Joe Hurd at 943-8151 or email him at jhurd@blairchamber.com

Executive Committee to Consider Technology Upgrades
The Blair County Chamber’s Board of Directors doesn’t meet during June or July but the Board’s Executive Committee does. That meeting will take place on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at the Chamber Office, located in the Devorris Center for Business Development. Among the agenda items that the Executive Committee will encounter is a request by the Chamber staff to upgrade the organization’s website and also to make needed improvements to the site in which businesses and students sign-up to participate in the annual Career Shadowing Week.  To bring an issue to the Executive Committee, contact Joe Hurd at 943-8151 by no later than noon on Tuesday.
