Blair Business Mirror to Be Published Tuesday
The next issue of the Blair Business Mirror will be published tomorrow as a supplement to the Altoona Mirror. Since October is Farm-City Month, the cover story of this issue will focus on The Cover Farmer Project, a new initiative to recognize the tremendous impact that farmers and agriculture have on our local economy. Inside stories include a feature on Evelyn Shields, who is helping the Chamber to clean-up its database to better serve our members, and a recap on last month’s bizX trade show.

Chamber Recognizes “All-Stars” for September
The Blair County Chamber’s ability to offer quality programming, events, recognition and advocacy efforts depends largely on the willingness of sponsors to step up to help underwrite the costs associated those efforts.  So at the end of each month, we publish a list of businesses or individuals who sponsored anything Chamber-related during the month.  They have helped us to make a difference in the business community.  All-Stars for September are: Amtran, AmeriServ Bank, Blair County Convention Center & Sports Facilities Authority, Damin Printing, Manpower, Moore Power Sales, Okonak, Dean & Lechner, P.C., PC Works Plus, PSECU, Roberts Oxygen Company, Inc., Saint Francis University, Serviam Construction, LLC and South Hills School of Business & Technology
