Chamber Office Closed for Independence Day
The Blair County Chamber Office will be closed on Monday in recognition of Independence Day. The office will re-open on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. To access Chamber information or to register for a program or event, visit the Chamber Website.
 

Chamber Recognizes “All-Stars” for June

Digital Advertising Seminar Free to Chamber Members
Businesses of all sizes in the Blair County Chamber membership are invited to participate in a free seminar on July 7th from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. entitled “How Targeting Digital Advertising Works.”  The seminar will be held at Park Hills Golf Club in Altoona and will feature Jim Doty, General Manager of WJAC, as keynote speaker. The seminar includes breakfast. Registration is required. RSVP by July 5th to Lisa Downey at (814) 255-7637.

Southern Airways Express Invites Chamber Members to Reception
Southern Airways Express is the new air service provider at the Altoona-Blair County Airport and the company is hoping that members of the Blair County Chamber will take a good look at the many services that they provide. As an incentive, Southern Airways is holding a ribbon-cutting, open house and cocktail reception on July 13th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the airport. The event includes hors d’oeuvres, wine and craft beer. There will also be an opportunity to win a special prize – roundtrip airfare for two and a two-night stay in Las Vegas.  There is no cost to attend and Chamber members may brings guests as well. Registration is essential so call (800) 329-0485 to register.

Chamber Foundation Continues Solicitation for LBC Youth Sponsors
The Blair County Chamber Foundation continues the process of soliciting sponsors to fund the 2017 Leadership Blair County Youth program. The program is completely funded through corporate and individual donations. Letters have been sent to past donors and to people who have expressed interest in the LBCY program. Anyone interested in becoming a sponsor should contact Cindy Cessna at 943-8151 or email her at ccessna@blairchamber.com

ALSM to Host Next “Business After Hours”
The next Blair County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours will be held on Thursday, July 14, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries, located at 998 Logan Boulevard, Altoona. Business After Hours is a networking event featuring fantastic food and door prizes. Cost to attend the After Hours is $6 per Chamber Member and $12 per Non-Member pre-registered. For more information or to make reservations call the Chamber at 943-8151 or register online.
