The ALTOONA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA is excited to announce our Musician Spotlight Concert Series. The Altoona Symphony Orchestra is proud to present the Alabaster Trio as part of our Fall Musician Spotlight Series to be held at the Historic Mishler Theatre beginning on Sunday, November 1, 2020. The second offering in our Fall Series, The Alabaster Trio is set to present Revelations on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 2:30pm. This performance will feature Altoona Symphony’s principal Oboe, Lenny Young, and his incredibly talented wife, mezzo-soprano, Raquel Winnica Young. Lenny has been featured in front of the ASO on many occasions, and his wife last performed with the ASO at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in 2013. Along with pianist Jack Kurutz, they will perform Revelations featuring works from Schumann, Vivaldi, Rachmaninov, Piazzolla, and more. While the ASO understands and respects the challenges of performing in these times, we assure you we have worked diligently and closely with the Blair County Arts Foundation and local officials to provide opportunities that will be both enjoyable and safe. Guidance on regulations and protocols to heed when attending events are as follows: • Attendance is limited to no more than 250 audience members. • Guests must maintain a safe social distance of at least 6ft. unless you are in the same party. • Guests are required to wear a mask when entering, moving about, and exiting the Mishler Theatre. Masks may be removed ONLY when seated and the concert begins. • Guests are asked to enter and exit the Mishler Theatre through designated entry points, and at designated entry times, based on seating. Details will be provided at time of ticket purchase. • Hand Sanitizer will be provided at the entry and exit points of each aisle. • If you have a fever, have any signs of being sick, or have been in contact with anyone who is sick or displaying symptoms, please choose to stay home. Anyone displaying symptoms may be asked to leave. Tickets to the live performances are available through the Mishler Theatre Box Office. Box office hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10am-3pm by phone at 814-944-9434. In person ticket sales can be made at the Mishler Box office on Fridays between the hours of 10am-3pm. Masks are required for in-person ticket purchases. Adults - $20, Students - $15 (includes box office fees) The Altoona Symphony Orchestra is also proud to be offering a PAY PER VIEW Live Stream of each performance costing just $10 per household! The Live Stream can be streamed on any smart device with internet access. Live Streaming will be available in High Definition and will automatically adjust to your internet bandwidth in order to offer you the very highest quality possible! The Altoona Symphony Orchestra is currently in its 92 nd year of providing Blair County and the surrounding region with the highest level in music entertainment and educational opportunities.
