Hollidaysburg-based U.S. Hotel Tavern, in partnership with Stuckey Automotive, will host the first-ever AdventureFest on Sunday, April 18. Over 40 outdoor recreational businesses and non-profits have been invited to feature products and local activities to adventurers and the general public. The April 18th event is scheduled 12 – 4 p.m., rain or shine, in front of the U.S. Hotel Tavern on South Juniata Street in Hollidaysburg. Portions of S. Juniata Street will be closed during the Fest to allow exhibitors to set up displays in a safe, socially-distant manner. Additional exhibitors will be housed inside Hotel’s historic Liberty Hall. U.S. Hotel owner, Don DeLozier, explains, “We decided to sponsor the AdventureFest because we know that people are ready to get back outside and enjoy themselves. After months of Covid-19 restrictions and a long, cold winter, there couldn’t be a better time to reconnect with the many outdoor opportunities that our area has to offer. Initial response has been very enthusiastic, so there will be something for everyone at this family-friendly event.” Matt Stuckey, president of Stuckey Automotive, adds, “Central Pennsylvania is a treasure trove for outdoor enthusiasts! There’s hiking, biking, fishing, and kayaking – and it’s all here in our own backyard. AdventureFest is the perfect event to learn all there is to explore and inspire memorable excursions with your family and friends this year.” Vendor registration for the event closes March 29; any local recreational business or organization that would like to participate in AdventureFest may request a registration packet by contacting marketing@ushoteltavern.com. Vendor spaces are free of charge; however participants are asked to make a financial contribution of in the amount of their choice to the Central PA Humane Society, whose fund-raising efforts have been severely hampered by Covid-19 restrictions.
