Flashlight Egg Hunt on March 31 to benefit the Healing Patch Children’s Grief Program The Home Nursing Agency Foundation is hosting the first annual Flashlight Egg Hunt on Friday, March 31 to benefit the Healing Patch Children’s Grief Program. Hosted at the Altoona Curve stadium, the Flashlight Egg Hunt welcomes adults 18 years and older to gather eggs that may be the winner of special prizes. Cost to participate is $20 per person. Participants can register and pay beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at the door only, as there is no pre-sale or pre-registration. The Egg Hunt will take place when it’s dark. Belly Busters Food Truck and Wood Fired will open at 5:30 p.m. for participants to grab some food before the Egg Hunt gets underway. Participants should come prepared with a headlamp/other light and bag or backpack to hold their eggs as they scurry to gather as many as possible in the dark. Once the lights are turned back on, participants can crack open their eggs to find candy, or more desirable, slips of paper bearing a number that the holder can use to claim a special prize. In the event of inclement weather on March 31, the Flashlight Egg Hunt will be held the following day on Sat., April 1. Please check the Home Nursing Agency Facebook page for updates. All proceeds benefit the Healing Patch Children’s Grief Program. The Healing Patch is a free peer support program for grieving children and their families. This support is offered through family group sessions at centers in Altoona and Ebensburg, in-school groups and education, community education and a lending library of resources. Services are free to all participants and the community. To learn more about the Healing Patch, please visit homenursingagency.com or call 1-800-445-6262.
