"After earning her degree in Dance from the prestigious Slippery Rock University Department of Dance, Rebecca Conway opened Blair Dance
Academy in the summer of 2002. Since this time, Blair Dance Academy has grown into a premier dance school within the central Pennsylvania region. Blair Dance Academy has been voted Altoona's "Hometown Favorite" dance school for a record five straight years by the Altoona community and was recently inducted into the Hometown Favorite Hall of Fame. We offer superior instruction for students of all ages and ability levels. Our curriculum is designed to provide each student a safe and supportive environment to cultivate their passion for dance. For the competitive side, the Blair Dance Academy is the home of the prestigious Blair Dance Company, our competition dance team. Team members train extensively throughout the dance season to participate in competitions throughout the North East region. We are also the home ofHip Hop Overdrive (H2O) Altoona's newest all star Hip Hop dance team."

Penn State Extension in Blair County gives local residents easy access to the resources and expertise of the Pennsylvania State University. | United We Can of Blair County
The United Sisterhood Series is a new initiative, started in October 2017, for women, men and students of all ages in all phases of life who come together seeking inspiration, encouragement, support and networking opportunities. This is accomplished through motivational speakers at luncheon gatherings. Always 12 to 1:30 pm, the cost is $10 and is held at The Casino. Evening Coffee and Conversation Nights allow for more intimate networking time and professional opportunities for students working to meet individuals in careers of interest to them. Partners include: St. Francis University, Mt. Aloysius, Griffith Family Foundation/Sideline Cancer, The Casino, and Tyrone Events and Promotions.
