Chamber Accepting Resumes for Fall Interns
As the next semester for local colleges appears on the horizon, the Blair County Chamber will begin accepting resumes from students looking for internships who have majors in business, marketing or communications. The internships can be for credit or non-credit. Send resumes to Linda Stotler at lstotler@blairchamber.com.

Membership Survey to Seek Opinions on Programs, Events, Benefits
For the first time in nearly four years, the Blair County Chamber has sent a survey to its members that will serve as the basis of future strategic planning. The survey, sent electronically through SurveyMonkey, will take no more than five minutes to complete. “We’re very interested in what our members feel is valuable and what no longer meets their needs,” explained Board Chair Carol Gensimore. "We’ve got some critical issues to address over the next several years and member input will be essential in providing direction.  We’re hoping for a great response.” As an additional incentive, all members who complete the survey will be registered for a drawing on an iPad Mini, courtesy of Stuckey Ford and Stuckey Subaru. Any Chamber Member who would like to participate in the survey but who is not currently receiving Chamber emails should call the Chamber at (814) 943-8151 to update their contact information. Results of the Membership Survey will be available in late August.

Young Professionals Seeking Businesses to Help With Outreach Program
The Chamber’s Young Professionals of Blair County is holding a food drive for the Mountain Lion Backpack Program during the month of October and is seeking businesses willing to host a drop box for people to drop-off contributions. The boxes will be delivered to each host site on September 30th and will be picked-up on October 31st. Items being collected are granola bars, ramen noodles, oatmeal packs and cereal.  Interested businesses should contact Richard Cox at (814) 577-6196 or email to richard@overflow.org. Deadline to respond is September 16th.
