Chamber Recognizes “All-Stars” for August
The Blair County Chamber’s ability to offer quality programming, events, recognition and advocacy efforts depends largely on the willingness of sponsors to step up to help underwrite the costs associated those efforts. So at the end of each month, we publish a list of businesses or individuals who sponsored anything Chamber-related during the month. They have helped us to make a difference in the business community. All-Stars for August are: Amber Terrace, Amtran, Beard Legal Group, BluAcres, LLC, Catered Affairs, Comfort Suites, Courtyard by Marriott, Express Employment, Investment Savings Bank, J&P Auto Mart, JJAN Financial Group, Klesius & Sheedy, McCartney’s Business Products, Michanowicz Endodontics, Mount Aloysius College, Pacifico Bakery, Press Box Printing, Reilly, Creppage & Company, Retirement Plan Solutions, Steve “That DJ Guy,” Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, The UPS Store, Top Hat Chimney Sweeps, Verizon Wireless Zone, Yellow Cab & Transfer Company.

Teresa Cheung, Music Director of the Altoona Symphony Orchestra, will present “The Art of Community Building” in which she will reflect on how the business and arts partnership has profited the community and how future economic development will require even greater interaction. The cost to attend Breakfast Club is $18 for Chamber Members and $30 for non-members. To register, call the Chamber at (814) 943-8151 or register online. Corporate sponsor of the September Breakfast Club is the Altoona Mirror.
