Live entertainment will be provided by accomplished composer Zupe and a visit from the Dairy Princess. Admission is $10 per person, and children 12 and under are free. To make reservations, call The Chamber at 943-8151 or register online. Sponsors for the event are AgChoice Farm Credit, CBT Bank, Holland Bros. and M&T Bank.

Altoona Library to Host Friday’s “Business Before Hours”
This Friday, the Chamber’s “Business Before Hours” focus will be held at the Altoona Area Public Library. The library is celebrating its 90th birthday this year and has many special programs underway for people of all ages. “We’ll be greeting people that morning on the first floor of the library,” noted Director Jennifer Knisely. “The Creation Lab, Pennsylvania Room, Altoona High School Alumni Room, Youth Room and Theater will all be open for attendees to explore. Staff will be on hand to create library cards as well.” A light continental breakfast will be available. Business Before Hours will be held from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. There is no cost to Chamber Members to attend and non-members may attend for $10. Registration is strongly encouraged. To register, contact the Chamber at (814) 943-8151 or register online.

The Chamber’s Backbone Bash is set for Wednesday, October 11th from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Park Hills Golf Club. Traditionally geared exclusively to the Chamber’s small business members, the decision was made by the Small Business Partners committee to also encourage people from larger businesses to attend as a way of creating valuable networking dialogue. The event will feature a casual cookout, beverages, music, karaoke, backyard games and hourly door prizes including a fantastic grand prize – all for just a $10 admission price.  There are also sponsorships available. For more information, contact the Chamber at (814) 943-8151 or register online.
