The next Chamber Breakfast Club is scheduled for January 9th at The Casino at Lakemont Park. Gene Barr, President of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business & Industry will be the speaker. Barr has been with the State Chamber since 2003 when he was hired as Vice-President of Government & Public Affairs. He became President in 2011. Chamber Participating in 2020 Annual Winter Kickoff
The Blair County Chamber will be one of more than thirty organizations – mostly chambers of commerce – that will participate in the 2020 Annual Winter Kickoff event, to be held January 10th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Seven Springs Mountain Resort. The event is a mix-and-mingle that allows business people from across Western Pennsylvania to interact in a scenic setting. Enjoy cocktails and light fare and meet some new friends along the way. To register, go to www.winterkickoff2020.com.
Is 2020 the Year That You Get More Involved in the Chamber?
Among the great laments that business people seem to have when they look back at the previous year’s accomplishments is that they never quite made the business connections, never quite took an advocacy role, never quite gained the advantage that they were hoping to gain in promoting their business. As a member, the Chamber can help you do those things and still have time for running your business. If you’re interested in learning how, contact Joe Hurd at (814) 943-8151 or email him at jhurd@blairchamber.com.
We Need Accurate Contact Information for Our Membership Directory
As the Chamber begins the process of compiling information for the 2020 Membership Directory, it’s extremely important that you let us know if your contact information is up-to-date. And what to do if it’s not! You can review your membership information online at www.blairchamber.com. Go to the Chamber Membership tab and then click on the Member Directory link to find your business listing. Members can make changes directly in the database on the website by going to the Chamber Membership tab and clicking on the Members Only link to log into your membership account or by emailing your changes to Cindy Cessna at ccessna@blairchamber.com.
Congratulations . . .
. . . to Matt Stuckey of Stuckey Automotive, John Beyer of PennCrest Bank and Todd Lewis of Shoe Fly Stores who have completed terms on the Blair County Chamber Board of Directors.
