Visitor Information
Visitors can take a trip back in time by visiting the county’s many historical attractions. The Horseshoe Curve National Historic Landmark is an engineering marvel and a must-see attraction. There’s also the Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum and Fort Roberdeau, a reconstructed Revolutionary War stockade surrounding six log cabins.
Spend the day at a museum, take in an Altoona Curve baseball game, watch a Altoona Community Theatre show at the historic Mishler Theatre, hike or fish at a state park or take a ride on the world’s oldest standing wooden roller coaster. It’s all in Blair County.
There are plenty of shopping opportunities, with shopping centers like the Logan Valley Mall and the Logan Town Centre, featuring many big-chain retailers. Many family-owned shops provide a much more intimate shopping experience in our towns.
The members of the Blair County Chamber of Commerce invite you to discover Blair County. We know you’ll soon love this area as much as we do.
