| "After earning her degree in Dance from the prestigious Slippery Rock University Department of Dance, Rebecca Conway opened Blair Dance
Academy in the summer of 2002. Since this time, Blair Dance Academy has grown into a premier dance school within the central Pennsylvania region. Blair Dance Academy has been voted Altoona's "Hometown Favorite" dance school for a record five straight years by the Altoona community and was recently inducted into the Hometown Favorite Hall of Fame. We offer superior instruction for students of all ages and ability levels. Our curriculum is designed to provide each student a safe and supportive environment to cultivate their passion for dance. For the competitive side, the Blair Dance Academy is the home of the prestigious Blair Dance Company, our competition dance team. Team members train extensively throughout the dance season to participate in competitions throughout the North East region. We are also the home ofHip Hop Overdrive (H2O) Altoona's newest all star Hip Hop dance team."

| The Altoona Dance Theatre is dedicated to the exceptional teaching of classical ballet, as well as other forms of dance in a disciplined yet fun learning environment. The best of both worlds! We offer classes in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, Lyrical, Modern, Mommy & Me, and Adult classes. Ages 2 and up. The ADTC is our pre-professional dance company who are regionally recognized for their technique. The Altoona Dance Theatre was the 2007 young Emerging Business. Renee Staines was 2009 Wise Women Arts and Letter winner and 2011 Young Entrepreneur of the year for the Saint Francis SBA. |
