The Intermunicipal Relations Committee is a council of governments (COG) that oversees recycling, composting, solid waste and related sustainability programs in Altoona, Logan Township, and Hollidaysburg and Tyrone Boroughs. The COG also supports programs in other parts of Blair County including illegal dump prevention and remediation, hazardous waste and electronics recycling. |

The Central Blair Recreation & Park Commission seeks to provide a broad spectrum of quality leisure opportunities for the citizens of Central Blair County. At the same time, we reduce our dependence on the tax dollar generating new sources of revenue and increasing numbers of volunteers. Citizens' awareness, participation and involvement are vital to the development of the community. |

The Blair County Conservation District is a unit of local government involved in the conservation, preservation and enhancement of natural resources. Programs include Erosion & Sediment Pollution Control Permitting and Plan Review; Agricultural Technical and Financial Assistance; Farmland Preservation; Watershed Restoration and Planning; Municipal Assistance and Environmental Education. |
